Scripture: Acts 1:8 KJV
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Jesus’ sacrifice and his sending the Holy Spirit is what empowers us to work in his name. What has the Holy Spirit been doing in your life recently?

I have been convicted lately of my sincere love for others that disagree with Christian points of view. While John and I traveled, we encountered a lot of different kinds of people. Many had no interest in God and others had different views of God. Also there were so many news reports of terrorist attacks around the world while we were away. As I got frustrated and angry with what I heard and saw, I was convicted that these are people who need Jesus. I need to see others as Jesus does... souls whom He loves and need Jesus as personal Savior. I pray that I will view the Grenada people as God sees them and ask for His love as I minister.

As different as peoples and cultures are, we all have the same need for the Gospel. One of the benefits of a short-term mission trip is for OUR eyes to be more opened to Jesus' Great Commission. We'll be in the country for one week, but we'll have the opportunity to pray for the church in Grenada for the rest of our lives. Sometimes people question, "Why go to another country when there are so many needs here?" This is true, and there sure are many needs here at home, but notice Jesus does not say, "Jerusalem, THEN Judea..." but rather, "Jerusalem, AND Judea..."
God has been showing me my need to be broken and humble. I struggle with pride and wanting to feel good about myself when in realty He desires me to give up myself and yield to all he has called me to do or be.
I desire to walk in His power not just in Grenada but right here in my everyday life. His Holy Spirit can empower me to share the gospel and to walk with him as I yield to HIM! LORD help me yield, step aside and allow you to work in and through me.
