The second question Kyle Idleman in Not A Fan asks is, “Do you just know about Jesus, or do you really know Him?” This Sunday we’ll contrast mere knowledge about Jesus with genuine intimacy with Jesus. In Mark 14:3-9 Jesus is anointed with perfume by a woman who knew first hand forgiveness from Jesus. She does this at a table surrounded by “chief priests and teachers of the Law” who know doubt knew much about God and the Scriptures but did not know either intimately.
