Acts 19:1-20 Questions for Discussion and Reflection

Read Acts 18:24-19:1; 1 Corinthians 3:4-6, 4:1-6; 16:12 and Titus 3:13. What do you observe about Apollos’ ministry and partnership with Paul? What strengths of Apollos do you observe? What weaknesses? 



In  Acts 19:1-7 Paul encounters twelve disciples of John the Baptist. What information were they lacking? What was their response to Paul’s teaching? How does this compare with Apollos’ encounter with Priscilla and Aquila (Acts 18:26)?



Read Acts 19:8-12. What characteristics of Paul’s ministry do you observe?



Read Acts 19:13-20. Why did the seven sons of Sceva’s attempt to cast out demons backfire?
